What do you eat on a daily basis?
Daily basis has to be Pace Picante sauce. I'm an addict since surgery. Fruit of all kinds, but especially Bosc pears and pineapple. The Bosc pears are those ones that look really ratty in the store but taste heavenly. Chicken. Lots of chicken..in casseroles, grilled, crock pot, etc. Lots of salad..green salad with ham, eggs, cheese..heavy on the protein and light on the greens, but oh so yummy. Veggies of every kind.
New recipes every other day or every day depending on what's going on at home or outside home.
Protein shake for breakfast when I have the time.
Ok, I will join ths post
South Beach meal replacement bar - Chocolate Peanut Butter Bar - 15 grams of protein for breakfast.
I drink Crystal light almost all day.
Lunch usually is either a small lunchable and a sugar free pudding or tuna fish or egg salad
Dinner is chicken, vegetables of some kind, mainly steamed
and if I am hungry for desert at night, I have 1 sugar free cookie.
And for snacks at work, I usually eat cashews or peanuts
I am finding myself wanting more carbs now, just have to watch it.
I can eat more at dinner than any other meal, still no bread unless it's toasted, and I still can't eat a whole one.
And I would like to know what is it about Salsa or mexican food? I crave it a lot. I am burned out tacos, lol. I definately can't have tortillas, but everything else seems fine.
Everyone have a wonderful Sunday, I am heading to worship.
God is wonderful.

HHHHHMMMMMMM......I dont do protein shakes or drinks...they make me so nauseaus but am still looking for that one that wont make me sick. (the closest that I have been able to stomach were the slim fast protein shakes, vanilla only) I usually start out my day with a cup of coffee and a Detour Core Strength protein bar, has 15 gram of protein (never finish one all the way but do fini**** by lunch) or I also get the Balance Bar that are 100 calories and 7 grams of protein. If I get really adventurous I have Sturms Whole Grain Oatmeal, Blueberry that has 4 grams of protein and made with flaxseed and such...I love the Blueberry kind but they also have cranberry.
Snack time I have proscuitto wrapped around raw asparagus and a piece of cheese. Raw asparagus is one of the only veggies that I can eat raw.
Lunch time I usually have something that was a left over like today I had a chicken ceasar cup (the cup being a wonton wrapper that was baked) and the chicken part is just shredded chicken, ceasar dressing, onion and garlic.
snack in the afternoon I usually have a couple of prunes. I hated these prior to surgery but love them now.
Dinner I usually make garden soups which consists of a little of all the veggies that are in the fridge and some kind of meat. I always make extra and freeze the rest because my husband loves the soups and takes them to work for lunch. He has about 10 different containers in the freezer right now to choose from on a daily basis. Tonight I made a killer split pea soup with lots of meat and other veggies in it.
I also cook alot out of low carb/no carb cookbooks and eggfaces recipes.
