Support group tonight
Wendy:
Actually there is not really a need to attend both groups each month. The meetings are the same speaker, so it would be deja vu. I attend them both to ensure that Dr. Keller has a veteran on site for questions. I am also an OH Support Group Leader so it has become important to me to make sure that the additional support is there for Dr. Keller to utilize.
All 3 meetings each month schedule the same speaker, we have them split up into LapBand and two for RNY/Sleeve. The other reason they are split up is because sometimes there are questions during the roundtable that are specific to a particulare surgical procedure. I have actually been to Lap Band before because I could not make it to the RNY on a particular night.
I think the most important thing is to just PLAN TO COME to at least one per month. Or at the very least every couple of months to make sure that you are supported on your journey!

THE ABILITY TO CONTINUE IN THE PRESENCE OF FEAR.
Thanks Ruth. I was there on May 1st and noticed a lot of you folks on this forum were also there. I have not planned to come tonight, but when I saw so many posts talking about being there I began to think I might be missing something....one thing you will learn about me is I hate to miss ANYTHING! Thanks for the great info.
By the way, great info on ketosis and the evils of ALL kinds of carbs. I am a WW patient, but had not heard it put quite that way before. All I have to say is....okay...now I understand! Thanks to all who have provided insite.

I absolutely relate! Counting the days, hours and eventually minutes. It's pure bliss. You will be so happy. Even though I've not lost as much weight as some have at this stage of the game, I'm still quite impressed and would do it again in the blink of an eye!
I'll catch up with all you guys at the June 5 meeting.
