I actually used those low carb wraps and made my own refried bean burritos and egg and cheese burritos.  They were so good.  Also cottage cheese is just so damned good anymore.  The only thing I HAVENT liked about the ketosis is the weird taste in my mouth constantly.  I have to drink something flavored or suck on some sugar free candy all day to keep the taste from overpowering me.  I hope it goes away soon. Ooh and Kim, you are actually looking forward to being MORE giddy than you are now?  God help us all.

Michelle - Stay away from the low carb wraps though.  Not on our diets from Weight Wise at all!  Anytime soon!!!  Just a word from the wise - carbs of any kind are EVIL....you've heard me say it before!

Ketosis breath was definitely not a good thing. I was glad when it finally went away. Everything started tasting better. I hit ketosis before surgery thanks to the aggressive ketotic diet Jess had me following to get the weight off faster. Fiesta bean recipe that I've posted a gazillion times is wonderful: 1 can ff refrieds 1 can pintos or ranch style beans drained 1/2 cup salsa or picante 1/2 cup cheese Mix all together on stovetop until smooth. Spread in 13x9 pan. Cover with major amounts of cheese and broil for 5 minutes or till cheese is brown.  I don't broil mine. I baked at 450 till cheese is good and melted. I got this from MSN healthy eating and make it a lot. At my house, it's usually Mexican something or other and I've been experimenting a lot lately with chicken recipes.

Michelle, I'm right there with you...a little giddy at times, certainly looking forward to those scrambled eggs and refried beans, and constantly on the search for stronger and stronger sugar free gum to kill the dragon breath I've developed this week.   10 years ago I was on Atkins for 18 months and thought I had really bad ketosis breath, but it was NOTHING compared to what I've had the last 7 or 8 days... I have been waking up in the middle of the night and I have to brush my teeth before I can go back to bed.  I keep on sipping and chewing my gum so hopefully I haven't offended anyone around me, but boy it is rough on me... Also - I have been wearing my long sleeve shirts to work every day because it is just too dang cold in my office for me.  Everyone else has on their knit polo style shirts, but I'm having to go outside or into my warehouse to warm up about every hour or so... And - last thing and I'll sign off... some of my shoes already don't fit.   I knew that would be coming, but I didn't expect it to happen in the first two weeks... grrrrr...   Anyhow, I'm so glad to hear that you're feeling better.  Hang in there - we'll get to those mushies in just a few more days. My shoes still fit. My feet got narrow, but they're still the same length. I had to give up my MBT ($200) walking shoes because I kept tripping them. With my balance being different now that my body holds a different amount of weight, I was dangerous to myself when walking in them. I gave them to my sis-in-law because her feet hurt, but she won't wear them. I loved them, and I miss them.

All of my tie-on shoes still seem to work, but my loafers that I wear with to work on my dressier days are just sliding around all over...  I guess it's a good thing I have waited to replace them.  The soles are almost worn through anyway, so this will just be a good excuse for new shoes.  OMG - I can't believe I said that... I'm afraid I might be getting estrogen poisoning or something...  Just kidding... you ladies really make my day! Shoes...yes, your feet do shrink. I am wearing a pair of shoes today that I have not worn in seven years. I couldn't even get them on anymore..

Yes - and I tease her incessantly about having 90+ pairs of shoes that don't fit... that was what made me drop my jaw when I started typing about buying new shoes..   JB
