Do we have any OH friends in these areas??? If so, I hope that everyone is all right after the nasty storms this weekend.

My aunt and uncle lost their house.  They live south of Joplin.  My uncle had to have stitches on his head and my aunt had some glass in her knee.  They were lucky because some of their neighbors died.  Their house is a total loss and there isn't much to salvage.  One of their dogs is missing but their other two dogs are OK. My sister lives in Commerce which is about 6 miles from Picher.  She didn't have any damage at her house.  She didn't see the tornado---she was outside watching the sky just like all of her neighbors. My mom is in a nursing home in Seneca, MO and they didn't have any damage.  The tornado was north of Seneca.

I used to live in Bluejacket, which is about 20 miles from Pitcher, my grandmother lives in Miami.  It's just hard to see on the news.  My heart goes out to that community.

Wow. I'm glad everyone is all right, but that's terrible about the house loss. My family went through one in 1980, and we lost a lot of stuff. My BFF lost her whole house and everything in it but one box of dishes. These bad boys can do crazy stuff. Heartfelt prayers going out to all!
