Potential Problem w/Incision on Left Side

I had a VSG six weeks ago and beginning on Friday night noticed that my left incision site feels like there is a golf ball under it - it is hard as a rock.  No fever, redness, or puss.  But it is uncomfortable when I bend a certain way.  Also I have thrown up or the first time the past 2 days after 2 diiferent meals, so I am scared somthing is wrong.   What is this and should I be concerned?? Other than this I am doing great - I am down 13 pounds pre-op and 27 pounds since the surgery.

Hi Kristi, I don't know a whole lot about your type of surgery, I had an RNY. But, if this continues, maybe you should call your surgeon.  Better safe than sorry. Keep us posted. Pam

Kristi, it could be your body reacting to absorbable surture. I had that happen after my hysterectomy. However, to be safe, I'd suggest calling your surgeon.
Blessings and Best Wishes! Shelly

Ok I am not an expert but after having 5 surgeries and having hardness under the many incisions I can say this...its scar tissue that has built up. I would contact your surgeon and give them a heads up...plus the tissue i****ting a nerve that is boucing back to life....Take care...cause I care
being healthy has its rewards....take the challenge and just do it
