HOME!!!
Congrats and welcome to the loser's bench! I would ask about the heating pad before I put it on your incisions. I don't know that heat is what you want. I would be worried about infection. Rita can answer that question or check with your doctor to see what his opinion would be on that. I know several on the main board have talked about that.
A body pillow was my best friend after surgery. I doubled it behind my back in my recliner, and slept with it at night. I still sleep on it doubled over as my regular pillow now..started that when I had to have that stupid C-pap I kicked to the curb. My cat couldn't get up to snuggle with me because of the hose, so I used the pillow that way so that we could both get comfy and squish up against my DH at night.
PS> I'm not criticizing the poster who suggested the heating pad. I would err on the side of caution. I developed an infection after getting home, so that would be my worry.
Thanks for the advice about the pillow. I slept on the couch the first night and in my comfy bed last night. It still hurts a little to stretch out flat so I have been putting a pillow under my legs or laying on my side.
I asked my hubby last night, and we dont even have a heating pad... so its not even an issue. :)
I am used to being busy... it is sooo hard to be home. I don't relax well...lol. I keep wanting to email my sub at school and check in on everything. :) I experimented a little with the protien drinks today, adding some strawberry jello mix to the New Direction Lemonade Drink, then i put it in the freezer until it was mushy and cold. It was pretty good. My jello will be done in a few hours..maybe i can pretend to chew on it a little. haha
Off to walk to the mailbox and back...
