My RNY was on Thursday and i got home about 5 hours ago!! Everything went soooo great!!!!  And I am glad to be home.  My husband and mother and grandmother stayed with me most of the time... but i was an all star!  Oddly enough, the strangest thing was waking up in the recovery room... i felt like i had only been knocked out for like 5 minutes and it was very disorinating... But... i am happy to be home.... Sip Sip Sip... Walk Walk Walk

Congrats on a successful surgery.  Rest up and get those liquids in as best you can.  I agree on the waking up part, I felt like it had just been a few minutes.  Then I screamed for pain meds lol.

Thanks!!!  I have two weeks off work... i am so not used to all that time on my hands.  As a teacher and a grad student, I always seem to have something to do. :)  I have enjoyed reading your posts... you are doing a great job!!!  Keep it up!!  Nicole

lol... i dont even know what a surgery page is.  :)  So no worries!!!  Everything went soo great!  Seriously!  The nurses and other aides in the Bariatic Unit at Norman Regional were AMAZING!!!  Sherry was my nurse most of the time, and she really made my stay so much more relaxed.  She was encouraging, consistant, and just a wonderful person.  Even the lab techs that woke me up every morning at 5 am to draw blood were friendly and nice, even when i didn't have any more veins for them to take from...lol. Overall, i am doing much better than i thought i would.  It hasn't been terrible on the liquids yet..but i will let you know in two weeks if i still feel that way.  I feel like i am drinking constantly so far.  :)  Pain hasn't been to bad either, and it seems like liquid tylonal is keeping most of the pain settled.  The worse pain so far since being home has been all the gas they pumped into my belly to inflate it for surgery is up in my shoulders now and making it really sore.  Karla, You will do great!!!  Keep us up to date.  When do you have your 10 Day Diet class?  Nicole

It will go by fast!!!  I started all my stuff in early March, and had to wait till May for the actual surgery because of work commitments... It will be here before you know it!!!
