I was a major diet Coke hound!  But I did give it up about a month ago in preparation for surgery.  I wasn't as bad as I thought it would be!  We had a wedding shower at my office today and everyone was drinking sugar laden punch.  So I thought I'd "cheat" and have a diet Coke!  Guess what!?  It tasted terrible!  And the carbonation was even kinda "biting"!  I'm so happy!!!!  I don't think I have to do that again for a very long time!   Now if doughnuts were this easy........!

Woo-hoo!!!!  One giant battle down.  I used to drink the stuff everyday but once I got away from it, I also found it wasn't so hard to give up.  I'm drinking one this afternoon and while I do like the caffine buz, I actually prefer the taste of crystal light better.

I have not had diet sodas since late August....I thought it would be hard to give up, but it really wasn't (pasta was harder!!!) - I tried a sip of diet Pepsi a few weeks before surgery, and it tasted nasty - funny how things change....

That is awsome, after surgery I tried a sip(months after) and it hurt so that should help keep you away from it too.  Tressa

I never even made the switch to diet soda... I was still drinking regular Coke as hard and fast asp ossible right up until I had the first appointments at WeightWise.  I swear I almost gave Chris a heart attack when I told her how much I went through.  She actually fumbled her calculator off her desk trying to calculate the completely worthless calories I was getting in a day.  (not to mention the sodium, carbonation, etc..) I was fortunate that I went on vacation later that month, had no access to soda there, and when I came home, I just never started back up.  I don't even miss it now. Congratulations Kim!  Keep up the great work! John
