I didn't have the burpies, but I think the rest of it is pretty well normal. What's normal for 1 isn't normal for someone else, if that makes sense. My stomach was numb as was my right shin for awhile after surgery. I didn't have the bruising, and I coudln't take in very big sips at all. I wound up sipping most of the day.
I love that phenergren gel. It was what got me through my nauseous month of November and allowed me to get back to work and get my fluids in. I came very close to dehydrating for awhile. Dr.Walton told me to shoot for 45 ounces in that month. Now, I'm back up to the 64 a day. I was having a lot of problems with everything tasting too sweet. That seems to have resolved itself as has my hypersensitive nose. Thank goodness!
Michelle,
I am SO there... I have gas moving in every possible direction. It's a wonder I don't have it coming out my ears... it seems that it is coming out of every other natural orifice on my body today and late yesterday.
I have probably overdone it today... but I dont' really feel too bad. My big incision is larger today and more bruised and swollen looking. And sometimes when I move wrong it feels like my guts might spill out of that spot - just a little, but enough to give me pause when I move.
Anyhow, from all I know, it sounds like we are right on track, and should be turning the corner in the next couple of days. Keep on sipping and moving... that's what I've been doing.

OK, I was wondering about all the burping, it gets a little annoying when I'm stuck in a classroom for two hours and people can hear it lol. Do you have any idea about when it will stop? And I've noticed my big incision is nice and purple and swollen, but the one on my left side is the one that hurts the worst, especially when I bend in any direction. Oh well, it'll be over before I know it lol...hopefully.
