Sleeved, Home, and Moving...
I made it home this afternoon and got a shower and a nap, and now I'm back online! I remember Dr. Prouthy, the anestheologist saying that I should put my arms out and then they were waking me up in recovery. What a ride already. Thanks to all of you who sent you kind wishes and prayers this week. They are all greatly appreciated!!! All of the folks at FBH/WW were so wonderful for the last two days. It was great to have Ruth drop in and check up on me, and also great to meet Michelle S. while I was there. When I went into surgery, my weight was down to 330! A total of 48 pounds lost on my pre-op plan, and just a start on the whole journey. Yeah! I'm going to walk on my treadmill for a bit to see if I can't get the rest of my surgery gas moving along on it's way, and then may treat myself to a dose of my liquid Lortab and a nap. There REALLY has not been a whole lot of pain, and I've only had a couple of brief moments of nausea. For all of you with dates coming soon, keep on plugging - they were right, the pre-op plan is actually harder than the surgery itself. Have a great evening! I may be back online later tonight - depends on how my nap goes. John
