I went to see Dr. Broussard today for my two week post-op appt. and I had lost 25 lbs.  I guess that's because I have a lot to lose, LOL.  Anyway, he said I was doing good and come back in four weeks.  I had my first scrambled egg Sunday night.  I took 30 mins to eat it and I was able to eat the whole thing.  I had another one yesterday and was able to eat it in 20 mins.  Today, I'm switching to cottage cheese, could only eat about 1/4 cup, but it was yummy!  Congrats to all of the others who have just had surgery, we're all on the loser's bench finally!

I'm so happy for you!  You made it to the mushie stage!  Yea!  And what an incredible amount of weight you have lost.  You must feel like a new woman.  Big time congratulations!

The mushies are a big improvement over liquids, I can tell you that.  I'm still craving Mcdonalds, but I know, that's in my head.  I was hoping to be under 300 today, but the scale said 300 even!  Darn't  When I got there they said Dr. B was in emergency surgery and I thought I wasn't going to get to weigh, but they said he was almost done, so I lucked out.  I can't believe they can go from surgery to a patient room just like that!  I'm also able to drink my water better now, I can take a little bigger sip than before, so it makes it easier to get in all of my water.   I'm still missing my friend junk food, but I'm not going to sabotage my chance of getting rid of this fat and getting healthier.

Congratulations Liz!  25 poounds since your surgery is so great!  I'm glad you made it to the soft foods - I know the liquids were really getting to you on Thursday at Support Group. Keep up the good work.  You'll be well under the 300 number by the time you go back to the Dr.!!
