pre-op diet/HELP

Okay, so today I started my diet program to lose the required weight for surgery.  I have done okay prior but really kicked it up starting today.  I did my shake this morning, did over 120 oz of water, walked a mile this evening and waiting on my deck of card portion of chicken... I'm good BUT can I just SAY GROSS for my lunch!!!  OMG, I just can NOT do the Sloppy Joe's....  I have Chili for tomorrow, so please let it be better!!!  Can I subsitute a shake for lunch?  I just can't get down the soup!!!!  I would rather go without then to try that again.  I though my girlfriend thought I was going to puke on her!!  It was bad for me but I got half of it down, but I can't do it again...  Any suggestions???

I would recommend try the chicken and wild rice soup, add a cup's worth of chicken bouillion  the the dry mix before you add the cup of water, it is actually tolerable. I couldn't stand the sloppy joes or chili mix, so I don't blame you lol. Bu t I lived on the chicken and wild rice for three weeks.

Hi Robin, Call Jessica and tell her what you just posted here. She will be able to lead you in the right direction. I wish I could help you, but I had six months to lose my pre-op weight, so I did things a lot different. Jess will be able to change it up for you where you can tolerate it.  I have never tried the sloppy joe's or the chili. I didn't think that I would like it. There are several pre-op gals on here that should be able to help you out also, Rita

You've read my whining already.  I told Jessica I could not do the fake sloppy joe, looks and smells like poop stuff at all.  Instead I get a protien bar.  Call her.

Hang in there Robin.  Yep, it is HARD and it sucks big time!!  I second everyone here in calling Jessica and seeing if she can help you change it up some to meet your personal needs.  I wish I could give you first hand experience, but I didn't have to do the diet like you are doing.  I took about 6 weeks to do a regular diet and lost 26 lbs on it so didn't have to do it this way.   I don't know if that is good or bad?  Just different I guess. But I feel for you and know you can do this!!  Rah Rah Goooo Robin!!!    Hang in there and you will succeed!!  And keep coming back here because we will help you get there!!! Good Luck!!

Ok, so call me weird. I loved the sloppy joe and the chili. Hated the shakes. LOVE the crispy 15 double choclate bars and the chocolate mint ones. I miss those bars a lot because that first bite of that crispy 15 double chocolate...I can't post here, but it was woooooooooonderful!!!!
