Ryans resturant and gastric bypass

It depends on which one you go to. I order what is on the main menu and I get it for half off. BTW I received a email back from Ryans and basically they dont care all they want is the money so I will never go back to a Ryans or a Firehouse resturant the food is not that great anyway.

being healthy has its rewards....take the challenge and just do it

Most places give me the Senior discount. Steer clear (no pun intended) of Western Sizzlin in Elk City. They only offer the kids meal which is all junk we can't have. They said, "Well, we have people who say they had that surgery and they go through 2 or 3 times." My husband said, "See this card? If you can't see this card, then how about going through line with her or better yet...come to the table and watch her eat her food. Then decide." They were jerks, so we left and told them we wouldn't be back. We won't. Western Sizzlin in Enid, Golden Corrals, etc. are all great about it. Most places are. Some places just won't. At Weight Wise, you get the card when you go home from surgery in your goodie bag.

Pattye !! You know - I'm here in Dallas. I haven't been to a Ryan's, but I go to Golden Corral because they are closer to me. I love Ryan's food better than my local Golden Corral ...but I too don't have a problem getting a discount at GC, but then again - I use to be in GC everymorning weekend for breakfast - so they all know me too !!! Good Luck. PS - I acutally had the manager at GC ask me : Why do you all even COME to a buffet when you know you can't eat that much ? Ever think about what they are thinking ? lol I simply replied: Because it is the variety of things we can eat....a little of this and that !! lol

I got an email from the corporate office and they dont care about folks who can not eat like we do they say they offer a comparable price for there food and that they will not offer discounts because of surgery. I retorted but you give discounts to seniors and to children under 12 and kids under a certain age at free. Sounds like discrimation to me.
