Support Group in OK before May 15th (surg. date!)

Hi! I'm new here and scheduled for the Lap Band on May 15th. I want to go to a support group meeting (and have to!) before surgery. I found ONE on May 6th, but I already have to be somewhere that night. Are there any others? I tried searching, but couldn't find one .When I click on "find support groups in OK" it takes me here and tells me to just post and ask, so here I am!  I start the liquid diet on Monday. Can't wait to join you all!

If your surgeon will accept you going to WeightWise, the LapBand support group will meet on Tuesday, May 6th at 6:00 pm at Foundation Bariatric Hospital in Edmond.  I can give you additional information or you can go to www. weightwise.com and get the information from EVENTS.   The Lap Band group regularly meets the first Tuesday of each month and the RNY/Sleeve group meets on the 1st & 3rd Thursday of each month. Thank you all so much for your replies! I can't make the one on the 6th as I have already committed to a Grief Support Group on Tuesday evenings and we were cautioned to not miss any! (my brother died in January) I will go to one of them in Shelly's link. Thanks so much!

The OWLO band meeting was  thursday night the next OWLO meeting is at The Church of the Nazerene at Lake Overholster of off nw 39th. which will be thursday night at 7 pm. THis meeting is for both band and gastric. If you need directions you can call email me and I can give u my cell number which is a SC number. And tell ya how to get there. Or you can go to  www.livingourdreams.com  and ask Carol for directions. She is the moderatr for that group. I will be back in Oklahoma and will see you there. THere is also a meeting on the 13 at the Health Plex in Norman at 6pm. Hope to see ya there.
