Hello Dear OK Friends! Most of you are aware that my hubby, Steve, is quite ill and needs a liver transplant.  Well, we just received word from the University of Michigan that he will be added to the Transplant Registry!  We still have to complete a Family Meeting on May 21st but once that is finished he will be listed immediately.  Hopefully there will be no insurance glitches. I know many of you have been praying for him and I am so thankful that I found you all.  Please continue with those prayers.  His only chance of survival now is a transplant.    I know the percentages that he will receive a transplant before the disease takes his life are small but at least we now have some hope.  My prayer is that our Lord just prepares my heart for whatever may lie ahead and that my Faith be made stronger no matter how this finally ends. I am so scared. We have been married almost 28 years and I cannot imagine my life without him.  I am also sad because for Steve to live, it means someone elses loved one will die.  I just praise God that there are folks *****alize the need for organ donation and are able at such a devastating time to think of others.  Lets always remember in prayer these precious families as well. Again, from the bottom of my heart - thank you so much.  You are all becoming so very dear to me.    One day I hope to maybe be able to meet you all and thank you in person.  Love, Pam PS As long as Steve, doesn't need me at home to help him all the time, I have decided to continue on with school over the summer months.  I think it will be a good way for me to keep my mind occupied, otherwise I might just sit by the phone waiting on the call and I think that might really be too much stress.  This was a tough decision to make but after discussing with his drs. they thought it would be good for me to go ahead.  So,wish me well.

Pam, that is indeed great news.  I will continue praying for Steve and your family.  I have been in and out over the past week or so and I'm probably out of the loop on your friend Karen.  Would you please update me on her.  I have thought about her so much lately.  My dear father in law had brain cancer and it isn't easy to deal with but I hope she is doing well.

Hi Wyn, Thank you for your prayers.  Karen began radiation and chemo this week on Wednesday.  (Her chemo is in pill form.)  She is experiencing all the usual side effects that most folks have with this type of treatment.  However, her spirits and faith remain strong. I hope you are doing well.  It is always a blessing to hear from you.  I will keep you all posted on both Steve and Karen. Huggs, Pam

That is good news, Pam.  I hope the medication works and she can get this behind her and be stronger on the other side.  I will continue to lift her up in prayer.  Take care of yourself so you can take care of everyone else.
