I still don’t have my financing settled and I have an appt with the surgeon the 13th... Should I cancel until I am definite about the financing? I don't even know if financing will happen anytime soon. I figure if I should reschedule then I should do so soon, because that is an appt that could be for someone that is able to have surgery now. I dont know !!! Its getting so fusterating I spend half my day trying to figure out what to do next and the other half crying. If I dont keep the appt then figure out financing soon I will be mad cause I cancelled. any advice?

Sherrie sounds like damn if you and damn if you don't.  If it was me I would call and ask the office what they think is the best thing to do. And go that route. Good luck to you!

Does it take a long time to get in with your surgeon.  IF so, then I would keep the appointment and set a tenative surgery date.  Heck, the office may be able to point you the right direction for financing.  If this is something that you have already discussed with thier office, and it doesnt take long to get in, then I would cancel the appointment.  Either way it sucks, but I know that it will happen. Best of luck to you Karen

It didnt seem to take long to get an appt. I actually asked for it farther out than she was going to schedule me. I have to wait for that darn stimulas check to pay for the first visit. I think I will call on Monday and talk to them about it.. thanks for the advice, I dont know why I didnt think of that. They gave me all of the resources they had for getting financing already. I am pretty much on my own finding someone that can co sign. I am going back to work soon and I want to have it done by the time I went back. oh well it wasnt meant to be right now, who knows if ever.

Sherrie, can't you go ahead and go to the first appointment? Even if you have to self pay for that appointment, it might really be worth it. I am continuing to pray about your surgery and financing. When you go back to work, maybe you can start your own WLS fund with savings that can be added into your financing when it comes about. We're all pulling for you!  ((((((Sherrie))))))
Blessings and Best Wishes! Shelly

Oh Sherrie - I wish there was something I could do to help you more with this! I agree with Shelly.  I would go ahead with the appt.  Also, maybe in talking with the dr. and telling them of the financial bind you are in, they may know of some resources to assist you that we might not even be aware of.   Keep us posted Sweetie!  I am praying that you will find a way to have this surgery soon!
