Okay all of you post-op peeps, I'm closing in on finally getting to eat something besides SF Jello.  What was the first food you ate starting out your mushy stage and how much could you eat of it?

That's really funny-because I completely forget.  It was probably 1/4 cup of yogurt.

Mine was about 1/4 of a soft scrambled egg and a teaspoon of cottage cheese.  YUMMY!!  I made much more than what I just showed though......crazy how little fills you up!!!

Liz..... I have totally been a bad girl! I started my mushies today! I had beans and cheese with ff sour cream and salsa ( it's in another post you will see ) It was like the best thing I have ever had!!!! Boy take food away from us for a while and we will come back really appreciating it!!!!!!!! Anywho, it went down without a hitch and no probs...... I was sooooo full after like 5 bites.... i ate those 5 bites really slowly over the course of trimming my dog, so I was very careful..... I am sooo happy that I am ready and now I am full.... so easily..... it really does work, you barely take a few bites and your totally stuffed..... now I know it's a no no, but I just felt ready! I mean what's two days I thought.... Not that I would recommend it. I think I just got lucky! I did want to eat more in my mind..... ya know, the head hunger thing, but I stopped and I am sure that in time it will go away!!!!!!!

I'm so jealous, I don't really care for beans of any sort, maybe I could doctor them up and make them taste better.  I woke up this morning and am really dragging.  I haven't been taking my vitamins because they make me gag.  I'm going to ask at the nut class tomorrow, if there is something else I can take.

well look you have lost more weight than me, so obviously you sticking to the plan is the right thing. I just couldn't do clear liquids anymore!!!!!! It was messing with my head cause I was sooooo hungry!!! Now I am satisfied and not always thinking about food, just like before surgery! I'm sure Dr. Walton would not be pleased with me! so don't be jealous, you are doing far better than I!!!!!!!! See you tomorrow....Just one more day!!!!!!!! ((( HUGS )))
