I recognize everyone from the last meeting!  I look forward to meeting Glittergal's sister Denise!  Oh yes, I'll be the one that hasn't eaten in 12 days and crazed out of her mind.  Oh, by the way does anyone want my leftover soups and shakes?  I have a box of Cream of Chicken Soup, a box of Chicken Noodle Soup, a box of Vanilla shakes and a box of Toffee bars.  I'm never eating that stuff again now that I'm post-op, LOL!  I don't want to throw them away.

Liz - do you think you should hold on to them in case you need help getting in some protein? How has it been to be all liquids for a week?  Are you starving?  Are you mean?  Ha!

I'm not starving, my stomach doesn't growl any more, it's really weird.  But, I want so much to eat something that tastes good!  Having my family eat in front of me is driving me insane.  Last night they grilled out steaks and baked potatoes.  My daughter said I could have some of the steak juice, LOL.  It's easier now than it was the first few days, I guess I'm getting used to it.  I honestly have to say that it's harder than I thought it would be, not because I'm hungry, but because I'm used to eating!  I don't want any of that boxed stuff, I will get my protein in any way I can besides that.  I'm not mean, but have had a few teary eyes, missing my friend food.  I know it's the beginning of re-learning to eat like normal people do.  The best part is the weight loss, so I try to focus on that, which is why I started this journey in the first place.

I think you are doing great!  You know in your head why you are feeling the way you do, that's a huge part of the battle!  I think if we can get through the first phase after surgery, the rest is a piece of hmmm.....  protein??  HAHA!! Hang in there and you will be able to eat something shortly!  I would have sucked on that steak in a heartbeat!!!  That sounds good right now as a matter of fact!! ((((HUGS))))

I should be there unless something weird happens. I have red hair and will be somewhere in the vicinity of Rita and Ruth.
