Don't try to get up and walk unless you've had recent pain medication. I gave it a try thinking I could... it resulted in feeling faint and a bout of dry heaves! OUCH! This is the only time I had any nausea or vomiting problems. They gave me Bicitra before surery, some IV stomach meds, and put a Scopolamine patch behind my left ear that's good for 72 hrs. I'll be going for my Gastrografin swallow about 8 AM. Wish me luck! If it goes ok, I get to proceed to the Blue Ice test. And, if that's ok, I get to start on clear liquids! ; )
I'm still doing great and hubby has been a champion of helping me out.....and encouragement from each of you has been a Godsend! Thank you for you prayers, kind thoughts, and words of support! Hugs to everyone .... gentle hugs that is! ; )
Best of luck with your tests. Be sure and get pain meds before them too. You might have to go from table to table or up to wheel chair for transport. Also most transporters are not the best wheel chair/bed drivers and it makes you feel like going down the roughest road you can find. Be sure you take the patch off at 72 hours.
