Hey evereyone ..... I'm on the bench!!!! Thanks for all the prayers and well wishes ... they've really worked! I'm having almost no pain .... just gas pain in spurts. Also, no nausea!!!! My biggest hope was to not have nausea and my anesthesiologist did a wonderful job because I haven't had any! I did have a moment of weakness with a little green feeling that lasted about 30 seconds when I got up in the chair for the first time, but other than that, it's been great! It's a little difficult to type with a pulse ox on my finger, IV in the bsvk of my lrft hsnf, telemetry hooked up, auto BP cuff on my arm, and my 2 buddies .... my On Q pain pall and my JP drain close to my left side. ; ) I have had marveolous care and I couldn't be any more pleased with the entire experience. My surgeon has been by to seem me with her PA and they are both grinning ear to ear telling me that everything went as smooth as possible. Color TV with loads of channels and free wi-fi make the experience complete, along with a view of the hospital courtyard outside my window. Thanks again for all your prayers, warm wishes, and good thoughts. If anyone has any questions at all, please feel free to ask!  Your new bench partner, Shelly   :  ) P.S. I've been on the bench almost 5 hrs ..... wonder how much weight I've lost. ; )
Blessings and Best Wishes! Shelly

WOOHOOOO! I have been thinking about you today! I heart goes out to you till you can get that blue ice which will be like heaven for ya. Please remember this when yu are brought your tray of food just dont trust that the staff has made it the barartric friendly liquid diet if you dont think you are suppose to have it check that manual. WHen I was in there back in Nov I was given food yes the chewable kind and I yelled at the nurse, dietician and anyone one else that came in my way. I actually took my manual and showed the dietician WHAT i was suppose to have. The wifi is great except you can not do messenger on it. THe nursing staff is wonderful and so are ther aides. Dont be embarassed if you need help in wipping your tushie...
being healthy has its rewards....take the challenge and just do it
