Bicycles!!! I'm in love!
So, Deb's (HoodooWoman) bicycle she has loaned me has me totally smitten. I'll be riding daily (well except for post op) if at all possible and while saving up for a bike of my own. Hubby and I are now checking into bicycles that both he and I can enjoy and ride together, eventually. Just look at what we found HERE!!!
If I wasn't having surgery first thing tomorrow morning, we'd run over and have a test ride today. They have these at Al's Bicycles!
If anyone has ridden one of these, or has a review, I'd love to hear it. And, just look at those seats! If that's not better than a padded tractor seat, I don't know what is! ; )
Now that's what I'm talking about! I asked for a tractor seat and you found it! I gotta look in to his because I need one! Who cares how stupid I look? My buns are gonna hang over anyway so I'll just have to get used to looking weird! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! PS Good luck with your surgery in the morning! Kim
Kim, hubby talked to Al's Bicycles today on the phone and they did say they will *deal* on the price. I was glad to hear that! They carry these bikes at Al's. I think they have several stores in the OKC area. BTW, I don't think they look bad at all. At my age, I figure I can ride any bicycle I want now .... as long as I can manage to stay up! ; ) We just need to add streamers to the handlebar grips like we did when I was a kid....
That is so good to know. Now that you showed me this bike, I gotta have it. I wonder if they keep it in stock? I went by the Al's in Edmond (off Broadway Ext) on Saturday and they showed me a Giant bicycle. But I didn't know about this little jewel! I wonder what they mean when they say "deal"? Are you guys thinking of the Dream 1? The one that has only 1 speed? I wonder if they would give us a deal if we bought 3 at one time?
And what are you doing online on the eve of your big day?
PS How about a basket on the front?
You made me giggle! I won't be shopping tonight .... or probably the next day or two. ; ) But, hopefully pretty soon. Did you see the videos of this bike? The videos are HERE ... 4 of them! I'm thinking of the *Journey* with 7-speeds. Deb's bike has the 7-speed with the internal hub containing the works so it's very smooth and easy to use. You just twist the upper end of the right handle grip to change gears. Hubby talked to the store in Norman today. I'm not sure if they all keep the same stock on hand. I bet they would give us a deal if we bought at the same time....but, I need to figure out all my co-pays and figure our tax incentive checks into the mix. ; )
Ok, you concentrate on your surgery tomorrow and dream of riding your new bike soon!
But that 7-speed thing is really expensive! You might look under the FAQ's and see what they say about the single speed. It sounds pretty good to me but I guess it depends on what kind of riding you're planning on doing.
I'll check out those videos and you have a great day tomorrow! Have someone post here to let is know who you're doing!
