Six Month Surgiversary!

Wow, I can't believe I had surgery 6 months ago. My surgiversary was Friday 4/25. All I can keep saying is what a wild ride this has been. I feel great! Other that my mishap with the incisional hernia 4 days post op, this really hasn't been too bad. I actually tried a small amount of steak yesterday and it went well. I was scared to death that it would get stuck, but all was good. To eveyone who is still pre-op and the new post-ops, stick with it, it is REALLY worth all the headaches with approval and all the things we have to change about our life. I really don't feel as though I have given up anything, it is just a new way of life...a HEALTHY life. Thanks to all who have been through all this with me! I love y'all bunches. I am soooooo looking forward to seeing everyone on Wednesday at Olive Garden! Michelle

Congrats Michelle! Time sure has flown since my surgery too. I'm feeling so much better now that I've lost weight---my knees are really thanking me! I can walk a lot faster than I used to and I'm helping my DH do yard work and actually enjoying it. The health benefits are so worth all the hard work it takes.
