Okay, so either they operated on my brain too, or I really have had my tastes change.  I have NEVER liked any kind of shake, but I had my surgery on Wednesday and they said to have thin protein drinks if you felt especially tired or hungry, so I had my first one today since I was a little tired.  Can I say it was delicious?  I don't know if you guys would like it or not, but it was the EAS AdvantEdge CarbControl Chocolate Fudge.  110 calories, 4g total carbs, 17 grams of protein.   Just thought I would share! You are about the 10th person that has said they love it so I am going to buy a couple and have on hand in case I like them too after surgery.  I'm glad you are doing good and that you found a protein shake that tastes good ot you.  That will help!

Wow!  I agree with you!  They operated on your taste buds too!  I think you might be able to get those shakes at Sam's but I might be wrong.  I'm so happy to hear about a tasty one.  I'll look in to those. I'm glad to hear you're doing so well.  I still can't believe you posted the afternoon of your surgery!  We talked about that today when we did the walk at Mitch Park!

I actually found one today that didn't smell or taste like protein, too! It's the Smart Forme Passion Fruit drink. It was better than the others I've been drinking by far. Of course, I have no idea what I'll like and dislike post-op. The Nectar Roadside Lemonade is pretty good ... I add a little Crystal Lite lemonade mix to it. Also, the Smart Directions Hot Cocoa meal replacement is good, too. But, the Passion Fruit is my favorite.
Blessings and Best Wishes! Shelly

You can get them at Sam's.  I bought mine at SuperTarget so I could try a smaller size to see if I like them first.  We went shopping today for some patio furniture and a gazebo.  I'm telling you, this surgery does make you slightly tired, but NOTHING NOTHING like I expected.  I am going back to my desk job on Monday and don't forsee any issues coming out of that.  Sorry I wasn't at the walk today (now, that might have pushed it a little!)!

Robyn, how are you doing with not being able to eat?

I'm doing pretty good, really.  I haven't really been hungry or interested in food much at all.  I did get a little fatigued yesterday so I had the protein shake and after my walk today, got lightheaded so I had my 2nd protein shake.  I'm just worried that I am not getting in NEARLY enough protein.  I asked the nut if I should have protein bullets in my water, and she said no, just clear liquids.  I definitely think I will be ready for mushy food in 10 days, but right now, it hasn't been a huge deal.  Although I did eat a serving of SF jello yesterday when my brother was eating Taco Bell here.  That made me a little head hungry I think.  But the chicken broth has been a life saver.  How are you doing with it?  Does it get harder the further you go out from surgery?

Robyn The EAS Myoplex that you get at SAMS are just as good, with 42 grams of protein.  Thats what I have been drinking.  Hope all is well, and BTW, since I had surgery, I have no desire to eat, phsyically, however everything in the world sounds so good, but nothing I have tasted really taste good. Good luck Karen
