Julie @ WW called me back! May 21st may still be my day!

Thank you so much for the encouragement.  I was really down yesterday.   I really wanted to go eat, in fact there was a post on the VSG board about someone wondering how many oreos someone who was sleeved could eat and it made me start dreaming about oreos!  But, I resisted.  I stayed strong.  It was just a reminder that I really do need this surgery.  After doing so good on this diet it made me wonder a couple of times if I really "needed" the sleeve.  Yep, I sure do need it.  Julie called me today.  I recognized her voice as the one I had met there before.  She and I had hit it off so I felt really comfortable with her being my patient advocate.  I explained the knee surgery deal.   She checked where I was in the process and saw I had completed everything and all we are waiting on is me losing 34 lbs.    She said she was going to get the situation in front of Dr. B. and see what he thinks.  She said a scope on the knee is not a big deal and she doesn't think it will stand in my way.  She was more concerned about the weight loss than me having knee surgery.  So............I'm encouraged that maybe all will still go as planned!!  :)

Amy - glad things will work out. It's funny, when I was on the pre-op diet, since I was on it for sooooo long and had lots of time to think and re-think things over, I thought the same thing sometimes - that maybe I didn't need the surgery after all, since I was losing all this weight !! Right !! Luckly reality hit everytime, and I kept my plans for surgery. How are you doing with the supplements?

Congratulations - I know how concerned you must have been that your surgery would be put off.  I will tell you I had Stephanie as my advocate too, and Julia was able to pick up the pieces and get me back on track.  You'll like her a lot.  Congrats on the good news! Robyn

I have a question.  Did ww let you schedule your surgery before you lost all of your pre-op weight?  If so, how much do you still have to lose?  I hear they're really tough about that!
