Good news first.. I have lost a pound!... I was stuck forever and i weighted wed and i had lost a pound!!! slow going.. but my aunt and i are going to start working out together.. i am going to her house 2 x a week and she is coming here a couple days .. she is a little more excited than i am...lol but then she weighs 150! she only needs to lose 10 lbs.. lol.. skinny heffer!  bad news is.. we have been turned down 2 times for loans to pay for my surgery.. but i keep trudging on.. the last place said that all i needed was a cosigner with a 600+ credit rating.. like i know what a persons credit rating is.. do i walk up to my family and say hey hows your credit?..lol.. not in my family!!! Shirley, my sister, is going to her bank tomorrow and try for a personal loan. I dont know how that will go since we couldnt get it the other two places.. The last place also said that shirley had a good credit record but she is the signer on too much stuff.. i didnt know that mattered,, guess it does

this will all work out some how! i have faith...

thanks for listenig friends

Sherrie,  Congratulations on the pound lost. Don't give up on the loan or what ever might come your way to see that you get this done. When my husband and I had all but given up hope to have a child. We found out it was going to cost big bucks to go to a fertility spec. We went to see about using some equity in our home and found out we only owed 1500. We were not expecting it at all. So we paid off the house and refinanced it. And now we have the sweetest 2year old there ever was. What I am trying to say is that don't give up when it seems impossible God gives us a way. I really think that you end up appreciating it more that way too.  Best of Luck,  Tressa

Sherrie, have you checked with the WeightWise finance plans to see if you would qualify through them?

My sister is doing the CareCredit thing (or whatever it is called) through WeighWise and they give you a letter of credit to show to them.  What about getting a credit card that would give you a balance transfer check with a low or no APR? Hang in there!  It will happen!

U go Sherrie! As for the loan..the more she tries for a aloan the lower her credit score goes...so I would highly suggest weightwise if they will help you. I dont see why ou cant still use soonercare..appeal the crap and say hey I need this surgery..Dont give up I am praying for you.
being healthy has its rewards....take the challenge and just do it

Hi Sherri, I'm sorry you're having such a hard time getting the funds together to get the surgury.  If I had the money, I would gladly lend it to you! I really admire you for your persistance.   Just keep at it dear and I am sure that one day in the not too distant future you will be successful! And congrats on losing that lb. and you excercise program plans.  Your dedication is an inspiration!   Bless you!  & Huggs, Pam

I have been in lending for 20 years.  You do need a strong co-signer with probably a 650 FICO score.  If you have a family member willing to sign, that thinks their credit is strong, then go to www.myfico.com and there is a way to pay $15.95  to have a FICO score pulled.  I would pull it through either Experian or Transunion as that is what most lenders in our area use. It doesn't hurt their credit to check for them to check their score and they can see for themselves if they look like a strong co-signer or guarantor.
