Cruiser to Loan

All this bike talk-if someone would like to borrow my cruiser to see if biking is for them, I'd be happy to loan it to you.  All I ask is that you keep it in a garage or a shed when you are not riding it, and lock it if you leave it at the mini mart....LOL.

A cruiser is a great way of getting started, but tends to sit after you move on to other bikes.  This way I can keep my cruiser, but at the same time know it's getting ridden too....I'm such a dork.

PM me if you'd like to borrow it and I can bring it by for you (I have a bike rack on my truck).

What a generous offer! I'm looking at getting a bicycle post-op. Is yours and Electra Cruiser? I've been trying to look up the Cruiser you recommended in an earlier post. I'm sure somebody will likely take you up on this great offer.

You are welcome to borrow it.  It's a Trek Sole Rider-it even has the back piece to lean against-it's like an easy chair with pedals.

Are you sure you'd be OK with loaning it out for a bit? I promise to take excellent care of it! I'll keep it indoors whenever it's not in use. Hubby says he'll take me to town in the truck so I can ride around campus for flatter surfaces to start out on. I'll never leave it there...just ride it and then put it back in the truck to come home. I would gladly pay a rental fee. : )

Oh, forgot to add that our daughter has a bike rack we can borrow. She has a TREK bicycle, but not the cruiser type.

I can bring it out this week.....the cruiser would need a bar to fit on a standard bike rack (becaue it is a womens bike-a step through model)....but you can order one through nashbar if you want to.

If you want to PM your info I could bring it out on Tuesday or Wednesday, I'm leaving town on Thursday.  No fee required, just ride it and get healthy!

I'll PM you. BTW, what type of rack do you use on your car? I can go by Al's and get a rack for our car or truck. I'll also plan on getting a bar. Thank you so very much!

Hoodoo - I can't seem to figure out how to contact you without replying t a previous post.  My question is how should I go about researching a bicycle?  I know you know alot about them and I was thinking it might be a great way to exercise and I starting researching online.  I had no idea there were so many choices!  Wow!  Can you point me to a website that might give me some info?  I would like a seat that would be good for my currently big buns.  Thanks for any advice you might have! I would start with Trek and maybe Electra-they are pretty well known cruiser manufacturers.  Most cruisers come with comfie seats.

Another thing to google is comfort bikes.....and or hybrids.  But, if you haven't ridden in awhile, the cruiser is the way to go.
