As I post this, we are 54 minutes into one of the worst days of my life. My sister was injured in the blast that destroyed the Murrah building. Her office was in the Journal Record building. I tell more details in my blog on my profile page. We are fortunate in that she survived when so many did not.
God bless Oklahoma and all my friends here at OH.

Charlotte, That had to have been so horrifying for you. I remember that day well. My oldest daughter was supossed to be in the building that day but she overslept. She is a Navy JAG officer and was going to the recruiting office that was in the building. The people from that office were killed. Such a tragic thing to have happened anywhere, but to be right here in OKLAHOMA was amazing. It's something that you never forget. In fact when I logged in this morning that was the first thing I thought of. (((((HUGS))))) to you and your sister, Rita
My heart goes out to everyone directly effected by the events of this day. The survivors, the family of those who we lost, and my fellow Okies in general, we all will never forget this day. I did not have anyone I knew in the building (well a friend and his search and rescue dog were there AFTER the blast) but it still hit me very hard. I was an industrial tools salesman at the time and I heard it on the radio and had to pull off the highway and just sat there in tears for a good 10 minutes. It is a day I will never ever forget.
I don't think anyone will ever forget that day My husband and I were suppose to be there that morning on VA bussiness and I was buy a dog and the lady I was buying the yorkie from couldn't meet with us that morning so put off our bussiness was going to take care of it the next morning thanks to that little yorkie we weren't there.
Blessings
