I got my new mt. bike and I'm taking it out to my cousin's in piedmont to ride on her land. I already rode it some tonight at a local grade school, hopped some roots and just had a blast. While at my cousins, I'm going to get a couple of bags of aged horse poop for my compost heap. Yeah guys, I'm living large....what about you?
Thanks for the laugh! We have lots and lots of horse poo .... 5 horses. Never a shortage of that here. ; ) I had my weekend excitement today. Went out to eat with hubby, went to Ulta with our daughter and got a free makeover and bought some Pur Minerals makeup. Then went with daughter to look for bedding plants. We had loads of fun! Tomorrow, I begin my 10 day pre-op diet! Probably not so much fun.... ; )
Well, I'm in Enid at my daughter's house. I came to stay the weekend in order to take my Mom in Law to her class reunion in Goltry. Nobody else could or would take her as my DH has to work, and his sisters don't help a lot. I don't mind, I love her. Side bonus is seeing my DD and my SIL. Went to Wal-Mart and caught up with some friends and tried some clothes on..got new undies and a magazine. Woohoo! LOL Son is staying with a friend, and DH is home alone. Heading back sometime on Sunday. Hope the rest of you have a good one!
I'm working today as usual, however that is okay because I love what I do. Tomorrow I am going to go see my Mom who is in a nursing home in Purcell. That is never a pleasant experience. I always feel like I have the life sucked right out of me everytime I leave there. I have gone every week for 16 months now, and it never gets any easier. She is 82 and the best Mom that any girl could ever ask for. My Dad is 90 and still puts in a big garden every year. Each year I think it will be his last. It is so taxing to watch your parents health decline. Anyway, be careful on that bike and have a great weekend, Rita

Rita,I moved back to OKC to watch over my parents-and I brought along my Uncle John. My folks live a couple of houses down, my Uncle is now in a home a few blocks away. It IS taxing, but all they really want is someone to notice them and that they are still here. Honestly, as hard as it is, we are saving ourselves years of therapy after they are gone.
Ok, that bike sounds like a lot of fun. I have considered getting one after I lose some pounds. Wish I could say I had an exciting weekend planned but, alas, it's just the same old laundry and cleaning. DH's uncle comes in to town on Monday so everything has to sparkle! (why do we put this pressure on ourselves?) Think I'll head over to Macy's before 1:00 and use my coupon. Such excitement! Ha!

Glitter-look at buying a cruiser with a step through design (no swinging your leg over) now....and your weight will come off faster. I started riding a cruiser a year or so ago, now I'm on the mountainbike and the hybrid. I'm 47, and I have a bad ankle, so balance was hard for me and the cruiser really did the trick.
My DH and I started our weekend off with a 3.2 mile walk for the Heart Association. We started a little earlier than the rest of the walkers due to a 1st birthday party for our granddaughter today at 11:30 with charcoaled burgers. Boy was the hamburger patty tasty. I skipped the chips, dips, birthday cake, and all the other goodies. I was so proud of the two of us. We have never walked that far in our lives. Needless to say I'm pooped but feel good about being able to do it. I would never have even tried this 70 pounds ago. Rest of the weekend is pretty slow. I'm cooking prime rib and shrimp for dinner and then probably early to bed. Tomorrow is church and relaxing and probably a short walk to get in my 30 minutes of exercise. Have a great weekend.

Today is my birthday. I have the worst birthday for Oklahoma.
I spent the day with my step daughter, we went to my moms and then went to get a few groceries and broke down and bought my first pair of capris since surgery. I went from a 24 to a tight 18 but I will love watching myself get into them . Tomorrow the kids and DH are taking me out to dinner for a late birthday, they arent home tonight or we would have done it tonight. Other then that I spent the day cleaning.
Hope all is well
