I get hick up alot now since surgery but mine dont hurt. I think its like anything else we are all different and will have a different effect afterwards.  Sorry to hear yours heart, my co-worker (same office) giggles all the time at me says I sound like a sheep sometimes with mine.  Hugs to ya Cindy

They probably will continue to hurt for the first week or 2, mine did.  I still get them daily cause i just cannot sip, I want to gulp like i have all my life, lol.

I get them when I have taken that "last" bite too many.  And YEP it hurts.  I didn't get them so much before surgery though so I agree it is probably one of those "personal" things that happens to WLS patients! Keep track in your head what or why was happening prior to getting them to see if something might be causing it.  It took a while to figure out it was the "last bite" syndrome for me. I am glad you are doing well besides the hiccups though!!  YIPPEE!

Haven't had hiccups one time since surgery. Thank God. I'm sure that it hurts. Hope they go away soon.

Yep - I've had them before and like one of the others said, it is usually when I have had a bite or so too many.  However, mine don't hurt.  But sometimes they last a while and then I do get a little bit of an upset tummy. Hope they leave you soon! Pam

I get them a lot but mine don't hurt. You might mention them to your Dr. Some say that it happens after overeating but sometimes I get them with the first bite.
