WW lab results? Will I ever know?

To my WeightWise ladies - I had all my labs drawn on 3/25 but I don't know any of the results.  I read on the boards about people having issues prior to surgery.  How do I find out the results?  Or do I just have to wait until my next appointment?

Hi, I'm not with WeightWise but I would call and bug them until I get the results.  Don't let up on them because it's you're right to know.  My doctor's office will mail me a copy of all the results.   Good luck

Thanks Carebear!  I should have mentioned that I'm pre-op.  So I'm wondering if my labs are good to go to get a surgery date!

I'd give them a call on Monday morning. I bet they would have called if there was anything concerning, but you do need to know for sure. I had my initial lab work done on 3-31 and my surgeon's office called the week of 4-7 to let me know all was good. It was good to know that everything is looking good for surgery. : )
Blessings and Best Wishes! Shelly

I am also a WW lady, and it took them about 2 weeks and they mailed my labs to my house.  Don't know if that helps, but there you have it! Robyn

I am a Weightwise lady...I can tell you that no one in my experience with any doctor has been more thorough than the doctors and staff at Weightwise. I had my pre-op in late August 2007 and about 10 days later I received my results in the mail, with a prescription for thyroid medication. When I went to see the Kathy on my next appt two weeks later, she went over those results with me, in person. Botton line, there was nothing wrong with me other that I needed a little help with the thyroid. I am sure that if there had been something wrong, they would have called me, just like Kathy herself did after I did the pre-op lab work two weeks before surgery..my potassiun was low so she called in a prescription and told me to go a banana fest!!! Two days before surgery I had to re-do my lab to make sure the potassium was ok. What I am trying to say is don't worry. If something needed to be addressed from your lab work, it would have been, but, by all means, give them a call if you want your mind completely at ease, I know they would be more than happy to go over those with you. Good luck, and let me know if I can answer any questions - Anna

Glitter Gal- if there are any issues that have to be addressed prior to your next appointment, they will contact you.  Otherwise, I wouldn't worry.  The docs are very thorough and will take good care of you!  You can call or send an email to your patient advocate as well if you want a copy, they will send them out to you.  I just got mine yesterday on my labs from a couple weeks ago.

Thanks to all of you!  I'll email my advocate and ask her to mail a copy to me.  Have a great weekend everyone!

I would call. It is ok to be proactive in your own heath care. Just call and say you want to know if everthing was ok and if there is anything you need to follow up on.

I'm happy to say that my patient advocate called me last night at about 7:15PM.  I was very impressed that she was working so late.  I should get the lab results some time today. Thank you to everyone! I hope to see all of you at the support meeting tomorrow night!  I would love to meet and talk to you all! Kim
