I was wondering if I am the only one freezing my hiney off ! I just can't get warm, unless I am directly in the sun and there is no wind. Does it get better later? Dr. B. says it's normal, I am just wondering if it will change at some point..soon? I was reading the post about popsicles and they sound so good, but I can't eat them because I am just freezing...  - Anna

For me, it got better after a couple of months.  I am still a bit more cold natured than I was pre-op but I'm not freezing all the time.  You just made me want one of those popsicles!!  To bad I am at work and they are at home!! lol

It happened to me too.  I have always been extremely warm natured even as a kid.  A normal temp for me was 99.1.  As a kid I would go out and feed cows in the snow with a t-shirt, shorts, and mud boots on.  My mom thought I was insane.  Now I am freezing constantly.  I came home from the hospital and the first thing I did was crank the heater on to about 80 and covered up with a thick comforter.  I am getting a little better but still cold all the time.

My mother had RnY just over 3 years ago, and she is still cold most of the time. It may be a long summer at my house - if I have surgery next month and start getting cold just about the same time my wife hits 6 months pregnant and getting hot... I may have to wear a parka all summer - at least when I'm in the house... I have always been warm-blooded, but during our first two pregnancies, she froze me out even with all my padding... John

I have been cold since surgery 1 1/2 years ago!  I'm not sure it will get any better, but I definitely look forward to the warmer months now, when I didn't before! :) Staci

Heck, I was cold when I was at my highest weight..then again, DH keeps the house at 70 year round because he's hot blooded..his normal body temp is over 99 degrees. Then again, I think he's hott anyway.

I get cold easy too.  My dad said that the same thing happens to him, when he only eats a protein bar for lunch.  He said it must have something to do with the lack of carbs going into the body.
