Hotter N Hell 2008

I think I'm going to go, and I'm pretty sure I'm going to register for the 100k-going to hold off for a month to see if I want to do the 50 mile or 100K.  I like the idea of the 100k, but don't know if I could really finish.

Is anybody else planning to ride?  They have distances from 10k.  If anyone is interested in meeting up to train/ride, let me know.

This made me giggle! All I can think is .... maybe next year when I've lost most of (or hopefully all of) this weight!!!  : )

You'd lose it a lot faster if you trained for the HNH.....I'm just saying.....but it would be more realistic to plan for a 10k or 20 mile ride.

You've got me giggling again! : ) I'm sure I'd lose weight faster, but I'd have to pay extra for EMSA to trail me. ; ) Actually, I am planning on getting a bicycle, but not for racing. I'm walking on my treadmill daily now and working up to biking. Thanks for the laughs this evening!
Blessings and Best Wishes! Shelly

Ok, but just wanted to be clear-I'm riding, not racing.  The racers start out front, but a huge portion of the participants are there for the ride only.  It's a good ride to be on because they have the best rest stops in the country.

Yeah, it may even be hotter n......But that's why I haven't sent my entry in yet, because that is where you pick your distance.  I really want to do the 100k, but if I have serious doubts about finishing it I will go with the 50 mile.  Right now, today, a 20 mile ride would kick my butt.  I'm talking to some people who have ridden it but are just folks, not elite atheletes to better understand what training they did....and to get a feel for what the last 12 miles is like.
