Saturday's support meeting

It was great seeing everyone there, even some newbies, I met a sweet girl and her husband, I am terrible with names, I think her name was  Jan?  Anyway - she lives 1 1/2 hours away from OKC, not sure what city, anyway - I had a chance to speak to her, she's just 35,  looks a lot younger, lucky girl, lol.  Anyway, it was great seeing her there - I  told her about the website and hopefully she will be on.  She has medical issues she has to deal with before Dr. G can go ahead with her lapband.  She has type II diabetes and her father died of that, she really seemed concerned for her family and herself.   I don't know much about diabetes, but it sounds just awful.  Anyway, if anyone sees her on here, please make sure she is welcome, and we can help her through this exciting but challenging time.  She is wanting lapband.   Thanks everyone, and by the way - the clothing exchange was nice, but I just got one shirt, because all of clothes were too big.  DID YOU SEE WHAT I JUST SAID, TOO  BIG, LOL. I was sad because I needed clothes but excited that they were too big.  I used to be in size 3X and 22 pants, now I am in size 14 pants and almost needing a 12 and a Large shirt.  WOW WOW WOW, BUt most of all, I feel so great.  Next month,  we are not having our normal support meeting, we are having one in a convention center, and I  lost my paper,   If any of you have the paper or  information  on how to sign up, please let me know.  Thanks. Take care everyone, I am heading to Kohl's. Brenda
