Okie Darlin' I'll wait until you are less "CRANKY" to make you pay for that remark!  I can still take you buddy!  You may be bigger than me but I know where your new scars are hon!!  And you know you love me anyway!!  You can't hurt my feelings!!!  GlitterGal:  thanks for the kind words.  I am not always on my game but I try hard.  I see so many wonderful dreams coming true for WLS patients not only with WW patients but across the state & country that I am just honored to be a part of it.  As far as helping you get a surgery date, I don't have THAT kind of pull!  When it is your time, it will happen!  One thing to remember, everything at WW is done based on experience and precaution for the patient.  If you will look at the overall complication rate, ICU stay, readmits, etc. with the program - the statistics are VERY VERY low.  Way under the average.  I think Dr. B said the other night that in over 450 surgeries there have only been 3 ICU admits.  That is staggering!!  And as far as the complication rate, I have contributed to that one, but it was NOT because of something the docs or practice have caused.   R

Ruth that is great!  I whine about the 45 minute to hour trip across town to the support group.  I wouldn't mind the drive so much if it wasn't during rush hour.  If I have an 11:00 appointment it only takes me 20-25 minutes to get there so 45 minutes to an hour is just frustrating traffic--hate that!!!  But there are people that have to drive hours to get to the support group. Sometimes I am just a whiney hiney!  I am so glad you have found a calling.  We all need a purpose in life.  My kids are 15 and 17 and I am already trying to figure out what I am going to do with myself when they grow up and move out.
