Hi Liz! Congrats to you!  I'm warming up your spot on the Losers Bench as we speak. Being nervous is perfectly normal, so give it another thought.  I think most of us felt that way when we were waiting for our big day to come.  April 21st will be here before you know it. Wish I could be there at the Support Meeting to meet you and some of the other wonderful people I have met on this Board. All the best to you sweetie! Pam

Liz, In my previous post, I meant to say "Don't give it another thought."  Oh boy - where is my mind today!  Pam

Liz, Congratulations!  I am so excited for you!  It's normal to be nervous!  I had to wait a little longer because the revision they were doing before me took longer than expected.  I almost changed my mind!!!  I was thinking..tell them never mind!!!  I was forming the words in my head but they didn't come out of my mouth thank God!  Just hang in there.  It gets a little better every day during recovery and before you know it you will be so glad you did this!!!  Hang in there for the liquids...just keep a constant flow of liquids and you'll survive it!!

Congratulations on your surgery date!  I am so jealous!  Those WeightWise folks are sticklers for that pre-op weight loss.  I cannot wait to get get a date so just concentrate on being healthy and thinking positively and your day will be here before you know it!

Thanks for all of the well wishes!  I'm so excited I can hardly stand it.  I am so tired of this pre-op diet and STARVING!  I never want to see another protein bar or shake again!  This is one of the hardest things I've ever done.  It seems surreal to actually be happening.  I was one of those holdouts who used to say WLS was the easy way out and I could never give up all of my food buddies like potato chips!  But I have felt so much better in just these couple of months and losing what I have that I know it can only get better and it will all be worth it!

Congrats, Liz!  I'm so happy for you! Rita will take awesome care of you as will the rest of the staff...when they put the mask on me I was crying from fear...that's when it set in big time for me. I had taken water pills to get rid of my last little bit, but I took too many too close to surgery..and they had a hard time getting a vein (it's hard on me anyway any time blood work is involved). So, the IV needle was in and the other was drawn while I was asleep...Wooo hooo!
