I went to weigh-in today and lost another five lbs.  Because I'm only two lbs from my pre-op weight loss goal of 37 lbs,  they went ahead and scheduled my surgery!  I'm scheduled as surgery #3 on Monday, April 21st!  Brandi and Kathy told me that I better lose my two lbs and not gain anything or they would cancel my surgery! LOL  Now that's the way to keep you on track!  I'm super excited, but also very nervous about having surgery.  I guess I'm not alone in that feeling.  I'm just so ready to start this new journey and living my life again.  I just wi**** was over with, so I could stop worrying about it!

Most definately, I will be at the support group tomorrow night.  I saw that both Dr. W and Dr. B will be there tomorrow night.  Were you nervous before the surgery?

Liz:  It is Dr. B tomorrow night, the split up and Dr. W did the lap band group last night.  YES I was nervous, right up until they put the good stuff into my IV!!  But it is a great nervous and knowing what happens on the other side helps a great deal!!!  If you were NOT nervous, I would be concerned for you!  Try to remember all the prep and education you have had leading up to this.  That information right there is your catalyst to ensuring that you are nervous for the right reasons.  You understand all of the ramifications of the surgery and you are prepared to handle them.  And when all else fails, run to support group or OH!!!  Be sure to hit me up tomorrow night for a hug!  I get so excited any more when you guys get your dates!!  It is like a great big family having more babies!!

Liz, that is great news.  I have a follow up appointment on the 22nd and I may check in on you when I'm there.  I may be getting my first fill on the 22nd.  Try not to get to nervous and just remember we will be saving a seat for you on the loser's bench.  I know you can lose that last 2 pounds long before your surgery.  I had six pounds to lose prior to my surgery date and lost 8 additional ones for good measure.  I didn't want Dr. B to cancel on me.  Best wishes and I hope to see you soon.

Hey Liz....GREAT news. Congratulations!!!!! I knew you could it!  Losing those two lbs should be a breeze..Now you have something to look forward to and being nervous is very normal. I spent 5 months pre-op being a nervous wreck, but strangely, when surgery was scheduled, the excitement took over, and I was very glad for that because I really did not want to go into surgery being nervous.  The first few weeks after surgery will be a little tough, but they go by really quick, after that, you will just LOVE this! I look forward to seeing you tonight....I go for my weigh in this afternoon..talk about being nervous (I always am when I have to get weighed, I think it is instilled in me from the old days of dieting with little results!!). -  Anna
