Got my date!!!

Well today I had my pre-op nutrition appt and got my date for surgery!! Yeaaaaah! I will be having surgery on April 22nd. It is a big step for me because on April 5th it will be 6 years since my husband (of 13 years) died during a lap- hiatel hernia surgery!! I need everyones prayers! I figure this is drastic since I lost him during surgery but I may be lying next to him soon if I dont do this to improve my health! I will be starting Liquids on the 12th, wish me luck! I hear this is the worst part!

Bless your heart!  You will be in my thoughts and prayers.  All us post ops have gone through the emotional roller coaster of the surgery and you have this added stress. You hang in there and know that everyone on OH Oklahoma really does care for one another. We are just a post away! Best wishes!!!

best of luck and well wishes to you.  Sorry to hear how your husband passed.  The liquid diet was hard for the first two days then it was a breeze.  What I am having so much trouble with is the liquid diet AFTER the surgery.  I want to chew something so bad I am about to scream.  And dont anybody say ice, I am already cold enough as is.

Well Hon let me tell you that you have my Dr.  and not only is he the cutest thing  but he is the best so don't worry about a thing  I had a Lap RNY may 15 of last year and he and his staff took wonderful care of me,  Just do what he says  He really does know what he is doing  Just be sure and follow the rules  In less than 9 months I hit my goal weight and have a new life.  He is wonderful and you will do great  Don't worry, Blessings Sandy C
