Another Wow

I almost can't stand it..Today is casual Friday. I ordered some new capris from eBay (yes, I'm an addict)...size 14 Tommy Hilfiger!! 14!! Me!!! I haven't been this size since before I met my husband as a sophomore in college. I also have on my new Rocket Dog jointed sneakers, and Frederick's is responsible for "uplifting" the girls, so it's all good.  My baby turned 16 yesterday. This is the biggest high ever. However, I know  it won't keep happening this fast, but that's ok. No way am I going to regain the weight. I feel too good and am so happy when I get dressed these days that I don't want the feeling to disappear. I know I posted a wow at size 16..I just couldn't help another pat on the back, and I couldn't wait to share with you all. I coudln't wait for my surgery to happen and was envious of those who'd had it done before me, so I hope this post doesn't upset our pre-op friends..This was the size I said I would be happy to be when I started my journey and Dr. Walton told me what my goal weight would be. Scale almost doesn't matter anymore. I've never weighed myself over the years, and I've never been the goal weight he has in mind for me..I think I weighed 165 in hs when I was a size 9-11 so it's hard to gauge.  Sorry for the rambling..it's casual Friday, my daughter and SIL are coming home tonight. hubby enjoying the job transfer (sent to a store to help "up" those numbers in prep to be manager) I"m a new size 14, and God is good (all the time).

I'm so happy for you!  I'm still waiting on my surgery and it's posts like yours that keep me motivated!

Thanks both of you. I'm just excited today. I plan to enjoy every minute of the weekend. I don't get to see my daughter nearly enough anymore. Liz, I'm glad I can help motivate you. This surgery is so worth everything I went through to get to this point. Take the time now to learn how to conquer head hunger..that will make things much easier for you.  It did for me, so the 2 weeks of liquids didn't drive me crazy afterward. I'm sure you're younger than me (I'm 45), but you remind me of a girl I roomed with at Girls State in 1980 also from Piedmont..

God is good all the time! Congrats on all of the blessings you have going on today! I also am a pre-op and look forward to the day I can have less  frustrated posts on here about all of the weight. I have to admit though, even on the past few rough days it's like I can feel God just giving me a big hug. I can't imagine wearing name brand clothing(not that I ever might wear them, just not enough funding in the budget) but the fact that I COULD!!! :) I recently bought my most expensive pair of jeans ever (L@ne Bry@nt size 3) only because I loved the way they fit and I think I am in denial about getting ready to wear a size 26 pants). The Tyr@ B@nks show had a great episode yesterday about throwing away the scale!  How you can look and feel great at different not so "perfect" weights. Very encouraging. Wow, sorry I have rambled. You go girl and lap it up. Enjoy your daughter. My son just turned one and I know I cant believe how fast he is growing. I know I'll always call him my baby, but he really is turning into a little boy. Hugs~ Joni

CONGRATS!!!! ISN'T IT GREAT!!! I told my 17 yr old daughter this morning as I was frantically trying to find something to wear for casual Friday that didn't make me look like a bag lady because it was so large on me...that it's weird to say this but what fits one week is too big the next.  I will soon be out of clothes.  I am thinking of going to the thrift store and shop clearance also for the next few sizes as I can't afford clothes that I will only wear a short time.  I have a sewing machine and take up my clothes on a weekly basis but I can't take up jeans!!!  The sizes are melting down quicker than the scale is...I think I will throw out my scale.  I feel SO good too!   I agree about the head hunger.  I was not prepared for handling stress.  I am a stress eater.   I have a very busy job and 2 teen girls and a truck driver husband of 3 years who is almost never home...so stress comes around way too often!!!!  I can't eat or crunch my way through stress now.  I have had times when I just sat down and bawled my eyes out.  So, work on that one. GOOD LUCK AND CONGRATS TO ALL!!!

Head hunger?  I keep hearing about that, but what exactly do you mean?  Is it just that you miss the food you used to eat?

Head hunger is when you're not really hungry, you just think you are...habits like snacking after I get home from school was started by mom when I was a kid. It continues even though I teach.
