The countdown has initiated

Finally, after multiple doctor appts, approval for the WRONG surgery, and weeks of waiting I have finally been approved to have the RNY on April 11. [Although I must admit my doctor and all the people in his office are rockstars. It only took them (and the insurance company) 3 weeks to get the RIGHT approval and set a surgery date. It's only been 1.5 months since my first appt and I am so excited now!!  I can not wait for the 11th...15 days! So glad I am about to start my new life!!  I feel like a huge weight has been lifted and I now have the tools to fight this obesity!! I'm sorry I'm rambling I just can't contain my excitement!!! BTW. My prayers are with all those still waiting for surgery approval and those currently in surgery!!

That's fantastiac! I'm so happy for you. Consider yourself very fortunate that your insurance company will pay for this.  You've won a huge victory. Now the work begins!
