I got word
Thanks! It would be nice to know more specifics of what to put in the letter... Crystal just said to be specific and detail all of the problems I have due to my weight.
She actually made it sound *somewhat* promising as if this first denial is basically "protocol"
I hope next time the news is what I want to hear!

Well, here's hoping the letter touches the heart of the insurance company, assuming they have one (which I have been told they don't)! No, seriously, I hope that your letter lays out on the line for them that overtime this is going to be the best thing for you. Good luck - don't give up!
Dot, I liked your letter. Over on the other boards, they say there is an obesity lawyer who can help take on your insurance company..he's connected with OH somehow. I didn't use one. I just went the private pay route through Capital One.
I wish you much good luck, and I know how it feels to be denied..It bites.

I'm so sorry...
I know how you feel.
Your letter is good. If you need more ideas get in touch with Vicki. She is good with the letters.
Is it your insurance or the Company policy?
What I found out was that the City is self insured through BCBS. So I'm having to fight the City. I'm still going to fight it.
Don't give up. I heard that some insurance will deny it the first time just to see if your serious.
