It never ceases to amaze me how much cultures and festivities revolve around FOOD!!! I know it's not all bad, but no wonder why we're all so big, or used to be! I'm determined to invent some healthier traditions in my family. Or at least I'm going to give it my best shot. Dan, just think, "mmm broth= less ewwwyyy gross, unhealthy fat and HELLO WLS!!!"

Speaking of food cultures, try working in a place that calls payday "dough day" and different departments serve breakfast foods either in your work area or the area you have to walk through. They're always feeding us..bringing in food. Is it only our culture that does this? During the time of my mom's funeral, the community ladies always host a family dinner at the American Legion Post...tons of gooooooood food. I was on the pre-surgery Medi-Fast diet to lose the 30 pounds..so I ate the healthier stuff they had (even didn't have cherry cheesecake which I looove) and switched the Medi-Fast to supper that day.

We celebrated Easter and my niece's birthday yesterday so there was birthday cake and ice cream on top of all the usual Easter dinner food.  But today I'm trying to get back on the straight and narrow with tuna and crackers for lunch.
