sharonrae4...How did it go?
My surgery went fine. I got home at about 8:30pm on Wednesday. I've been taking it easy. I still have a little bit of pain (not much), but I think that's mostly gas. My husband purchased a comfy recliner for me, at Christmas, I've been sleeping in that. I'm getting my water down....just don't feel like eating much else. For the first time in my life.....the thought of eating makes me feel sick.
I can honestly say that I'm getting better each day. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.
Congratulations on your successful surgery. I'm glad to hear it went well. Just take it easy and you will be up and going in no time. Welcome to the loser's bench.

Congrats and amen on the recliner. I don't like food anymore either..it's just something I have to do to stay healthy. Everybody asks me what food I miss, and I say nothing.
I don't know what your doc has said about eating. I had 2 weeks of liquids only..water, sf popsicles, sf approved juices. 2 weeks of soft food: fat free refried beans, tuna, chicken, eggs.
Then 4 weeks out is called Healthy Foods for Life..that's where I am now at 5 months out.
My husband and son ate pizza and other foods around me and I was never tempted.
Make sure you try to get in your approved intake amount. I couldn't do 64 ounces for a long time..so doc said to try for 45. It really helped me when he gave me phenergren gel for my wrist..sickness was gone within 30 mins or faster.
