Great to meet you.....
Diana and Ruth it was great to finally meet you tonight at the support group meeting. You are both so sweet and the things you said tonight to me or to the group were so helpful to me. I treasure your friendship, support, and encouragement. Hope to see you again soon.
Rita (Cricket) I missed meeting you. I looked for you at break, but I guess I either missed you again or you had to go back to work. I look forward to meeting you some time soon also.
I hope everyone has a great weekend. Happy Easter!!

Wynotha,
YOU are the one who is so sweet! And it was so great to meet you too! I have had such a hard week at work. Working 9 1/2 hour days and still having to get help in order to get things under control. I have just been worn out. I thought for a brief moment about skipping the meeting but I just had to take this opportunity to meet my online buddy. I am glad I did.
Wasn't support group good tonight!! There were soooo many people! It's great how many people are starting their journey to the loser's bench! I always learn something new or discover something about myself at every support group. I really saw myself in the 19 year old girl. She didn't want to offend her grandmother or family and I wanted to tell her, "It's ok to take care of yourself. It is not selfish or rude or unkind as long as you explain it in a loving way." I spent a lifetime not taking care of myself because I thought it was selfish. We women sometimes give power away even when no one is asking us to do so! I know I have struggled with that a lot in my life.
I always figure out the perfect way to say it LONG after the fact!
Thanks for all your encouragement too! I have really enjoyed our posts and am so glad you are on OH!!!
Gotta go to bed now!
Tomorrow is Friday!!!! THANK GOD!!!
HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!!!
ONEDERLAND!!!! FINALLY!!!! WHOOOO HOOOOO!
I really did learn a lot last night as well. I could see myself in the 19 year old also. I plan on dropping in every so often in this support group meeting as well as my lap band one. I'm sure I can and will learn a lot as I go on this journey.
Rita, I think that is a great idea about all of us getting together to go out and eat or maybe even a cookout at a park. I'm usually available most weekends.
Starting Monday, I get to add in chicken (dark meat) and fish to my menu. That will be exciting to get to experiment with different types of seasonings on the fish and chicken.
I'm already thinking about what I can eat for Easter Lunch. I'm thinking of baking some chicken thighs, having some deviled eggs, baked beans, and potato salad (the last two items for my husband). I will stick to the baked chicken and deviled eggs.
I may not be online very much this weekend so I hope everyone has a blessed Easter.
