2 week check up

Today was my two week checkup with Dr. Broussard.  He said I was doing great and he would see me again in four weeks.  I have lost 14 pounds since my pre-op appointment in February.  I'm scheduled for my first fill on 4-22.  He released me to go back to work tomorrow and to rev up my exercise starting today.  If I've lose a nice amount of weight by 4-22 we may postpone the fill.  I would like to lose 15 pounds between now and then and postpone it awhile.  I'm kind of nervous about the fills for some reason.  Hope everyone has a great day.

You go girl!!! I am so proud of you. From everything I've read, fills are no sweat.  How are you feeling? Not so sore anymore? See, I am hoping to be banded soon and just trying to get all the info I can. How much does Dr. B charge for fills?  Keep up the good work! Joni

Wynotha:   What time was your appointment?  I was up there this morning seeing Dr B as well.  I had labs and an appointment due to an issue I had come up.  I was at the clini****il at 10:00am!  Are you coming to support group Thursday evening?  You should!  I am so proud of you!  You are doing awesome!! CONGRATS WYNOTHA! YOU ROCK! I am so excited for you!!  You are really doing great!  My insurance wouldn't pay for lap band and I really was afraid I wouldnt be able to be diligent with the lap band.  KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!  YOU ARE AN INSPIRATION TO ALL OF US!!!

I'm feeling great.  I'm planning on being at the support group Thursday night to meet all of you.  My appointment was at 8:30 a.m. this morning with Dr. B.  The price of the lapband is a little more than the sleeve but less than the bypass.  I was cash pay so it was around $13,900.  I believe that price includes the fills for one year.  Thanks everyone for your positive comments.

Wynotha, a fill is not that big of a deal.  But you are wise to be conservative.  Being too tight is a terrible thing and not a good idea.  You are doing so good, I'm really proud of you.
