I eat salads all the time, just not as much.  Also, waited until I was about 6 weeks out before doing so.  It is kinda a treat for me now once I've got all my protein in.

I have one for lunch every day, and sometimes at night. I love to build different kinds!

After my mushie phase I was approved to eat anything I wanted or could stand.  Salad is still great, but I tend to eat less since my portions are going to protien first and foremost.

Sherrie, I have tried a little bit of salad a few times. It didn't really agree with me. I ended up just picking the protein out of it. At some point I hope to eat it again. You are not really suppossed to try it for about 4-5 weeks. Also they don't want you to fill up on the lettuce and other stuff before you get your protein in. Rita

Yes, and I always make sure I get the meat and the cheese in first. I don't put a lot of lettuce in my bowl. It's more toppings than anything.

Before surgery I was not able to eat salad due to dumping since having my gallbladder out years ago. But now since surgery I have no problems with salad and enjoy it as a treat. Just remember protien first.
