I have taken blood pressure and cholesterol medications for years. After I came home from surgery, I took myself off of them. ( I don't advise you to do this on your own) I had labs drawn last week and my lipid profile as well as everything else was great. In fact my HDL was low. I'm saving $70 a month now. How cool is that? Once again, Thank you GOD and DR. WALTON .

You look marvelous! I'm coming in to weigh today..hopefully I'll get to see you. I don't weigh anywhere except there because I know the scale is "right."

I'm so happy for you Rita!!! Now you can save that $70 a month to buy smaller clothes! Hooray!!! I only take an anti-anxiety and cardiazem for a congenital defect. If I have an ablation done I could quit the cardiazem.  Do people get off anti-depressants after WLS?  I don't get depressed without them...but I get stressed.  I lose it with the kids and can't seem to handle the bumps in the road with grace.  I have gone off of them many times in the last 10 years but I always have this moment when I realize "IT" has snuck up on me again.  It's like I am a hormonal teenager who over reacts to everything.  I don't know if that would go away with weight loss.  With all the vitamins I take it'd be nice to be able to not have to take meds also.  I feel like a senior citizen with my huge AM/PM pill box!!!!
