Thank you! Mom saw me for the first time since my surgery and she almost cried.  That was pretty darn awesome too! She told me I was starting to look like the high school Diana.  Now, she was really stretching it with that one!

Diana, that's awesome!  Is the weight loss coming pretty easily for you?

As easy as RNY can be.  I am not a wonder compared to many but I have never stayed on any kind of diet for 6 months before. I have always fallen off the wagon and I know that I would have fallen off the wagon by now for sure.  The RNY won't let me fall off the wagon.  And hopefully it keeps working long enough for me to lose the desire for bad foods and bad habits.   I have already had to find new strategies for dealing with stress. I chew a lot of gum.  Some doctors say no gum because if you swallow it accidentally it could possibly cause problems.  I figure I am grown up enough to handle it.  Chewing helps with stress eating urges and I have every intention of riding my bike soon....I need to take it in for service.  It has a flat and needs a tune up.  I LOVE my bike.  It is a self-shifting bike.  It's a cruiser so it's more for comfort than racing...which is great for me.   Anyway, I got off subject a bit there.  I lose 3-4 pounds a week on average. It comes off really strangely.  I may not lose anything for a week and then drop 4 pounds.  They say don't weigh every day but I can't help myself.  Every time it goes down it's a victory and I want to enjoy every tiny victory.  I probably post too many WOW's.  I don't do it to get kudos from everyone.  I am just so happy and I want to share my victory and encourage others with it.  I only post about 1 in 4 WOW's because I don't want people to think I am just an attention seeker. You'll see soon.  There are just so many WOW's!!! It is not easy though.  Be careful with new foods.  Eat REALLY slowly with new foods because your stomach may react adversely to it and if you eat too fast you are going to regret it.  I had 2 bites of some roast beef and was sick for hours and I chewed that meat forever!!  Some people have problems with chicken, some with beef.  I tolerate chicken well but not beef. Bummer, I love a good steak.
