Emotions running high

Today is day 2 on liquid diet.  It seems like every place I turn (work, home, etc) is crazy.  I'm a teacher, so today the students seemed to "get on my nerves" more than usual.  Then....I come home and my son has been disrespectful to his daycare provider.  I just want to yell........or go to Starbucks and drown my sorrows in a white-chocolate mocha (WAY off the diet chart). Did you all experience the underlying frustrations, when you started the liquid diet?  Am I just having sugar withdrawal? I think I'll go fix myself some tomato soup.

i think i can speak for everyone , we all had our frustration during the liquid diet , it does get better after 2 or 3 days .  I am a teacher too and i just had to rely on my co teachers to help me through the rough times , i was lucky to have very supportive people around me .  hang in there !!

Oh yeah.  I think it's a combination carb withdrawal and losing your former pacifier/friend...food.  It's ok, you'll find other ways to cope that are better for you.

Herbal tea is my new friend.

It REALLY helps to read each of your posts.  That's the good thing about this board.....we are NOT alone!!!!  It's nice to be reminded that this too shall pass. Thank you.

You are dealing with withdraws from food you love. Its rough but each of us that have had surgery have gone through it. I just kept s/f popscicles with me and kept saying this too shall pass..cause it always will...good luck keep your chin up and look for the prize
