Hello, I need Patience!!

I have been reading all your posts for about a week! And let me tell you I am very jealous! I am waiting to have the lap band and feel like I have been put on HOLD..... I have had all my tests done for weeks and still havent heard from the Dr. Office. I have sent 3 e-mails, with no response, so tomorrow I am going to call. I would love to know where I stand and what I am waiting for!  I want to join your losers club! It is so terrible to make such a big decision and  have to sit and wait! I was ready to do this the day I decided. I am glad you are all here cause I am sure I will have a million questions!! You all have already answered alot of them.  Help me have patience!!

Welcome TO Okalhoma OH!  For me I would be on the phone yelling whats up???? I was lucky when I chose Dr. Ronnie Keith...his office staff is the best and so is he....I called 5 days after my seminar, and while on the phone waiting for the Summer to answer, she was calling me telling me I was approved. If you think that you are not getting the attention you deserve you have the right to walk in that office and demand your file and all paperwork and go to another surgeon. I know that sounds drastic but when you do that for some reason you get moved ahead of the rest. Plus what surgeon wants a screaming irrate patient in his waiting room. Remember this is your life, your surgery so if you are not happy with the office or surgeon find some one else...Good luck we are here for ya!

OK, I called and got voice mail. Even if I wanted to get all my paperwork I can't. I work at Integris and have to stay in network. I went to Ronnie Keiths seminar years ago but I was to chicken to have the surgery. Now I am ready and very impatient. Thanks for all your words of wisdom!

all i can say is you have to have patience .  call and talk to Kim , she will explain if there is a hold up , Dr Gornichech did my lapband , and he is wonderful , it will be well worth the wait .  I had to wait too on a letter from my other doc and it was like foreverrrrr.  I totally understand your frustration .  Take care and hang in there!!!

Welcome to OK OH. Don't get discouraged keep trying to call I promise they will call back. Ask all the questions you need.

Welcome to our "club."  I would call and bug them nicely to see how everything is progressing. My insurance denied me, so I went private pay. Hang in there. It will happen for you.

Don't hesitate to call and bother them. The more you call maybe they will get the ball rolling. I know that it is hard to wait. I had to wait 6 months. Welcome to the boards.

I waited 5 weeks for mine to be submitted...  Now, I'm starting week two waiting for insurance approval.  Just do your best to be patient.....  (I know it is hard) Dot

I waited and fought and eventually went self pay-I know how you feel.  Having made the decision, you want to move forward NOW.  It's awful to have the big looming unknowns, but its all worth the wait and uncertainty.
