Insurance changed their mind!!!!!!!
I'm so mad and upset right now.
I went to the Hospital for my pre-op lab work and the anest. visit today. And the addmissions told me that it wasn't approved...
I have 3 letters from the insurance that told me that it was approved and talked to them several times with questions just to make sure. And they have always told me that everything is fine.
Today they told the hospital that there is an exclusion on the City policy that they won't cover.
I called them myself when I got home and they told me that they didn't see an exclusion on the policy. So The lady that I talked to is sending it to someone else and is suppost to call me back in a couple of days. I'm suppose to have surgery MONDAY. And I still have the EDG and The filter to put in.
Sorry for the letter. I just don't know what to do.
Keep on them, as they never should have sent out approval letter if there truly was an exclusion on your policy. Make them accountable since you have already started the pre-op for procedure.
Hopefully, someone just got their info wrong and will correct this with the hospital.

I was very upset yesterday when I found out about this, But now I'm Just MAD. I was told to get in touch with the Insurance commission. So I'm going to try that tomorrow.
I would have to day but I ended up in the hospital doing a heart cath. Great fun. Just to find out, Thank God, Every thing is fine. it was just a false positive on the stress test. and i got the clearance for the surgery. Except now everything is postponed.
